The series Diaries frame by frame is composed by small films made entirely on camera and with a technique that demands a lot of dedication and involves a close relationship with what is recorded. The beginning of the production of each of these pieces is usually spontaneous, they arise from the encounter with the exceptional in everyday life. They are films made frame by frame for long periods of time, all in Super 8. Each film is made with between 3,500 and 11,000 photographs. In 2019, these films find a new way to integrate with texts specially written for each of them and with sequences of enlarged frames and printed on photographic paper. These pieces propose a simple encounter between cinema, literature and photography where each practice maintains its support without invading the other’s terrain; the cinema on the screen, the printed photograph, the word on paper.
